Tom Bull (b. 1995, Northamptonshire, UK) is an artist based in London, UK. His sculptures, videos and installations explore the tension-filled landscapes of urban and rural life. With a wide range of tools and materials borrowed from vernacular architecture, aspirational design, folk horror, heavy industry, and rural craft. Bull employs a sculptural practice that investigates the uneasy frictions between hedonism and austerity, escapism and reality, desire and violence, and tradition and rupture. Bull's most recent work explores ‘country life’ by examining current issues of land, loss, community, nostalgia, access, labour and violence. These sculptures are nuanced and complex, not just imitating life but working within it. They do not seek answers to life’s ambiguities but highlight them, as well as their resultant anxieties, playing with them as a visual medium, giving them form and presence.

Tom Bull graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London, UK (2018), and an MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK (2022). Bull has completed large-scale commissions for various institutions including Turf Projects, London, UK (2023); and Yetea Museum, Chilgok, Korea (2023). Solo exhibitions include OUTPOST Gallery x St Chads, Norwich, UK (2025); Mucciaccia Gallery, London, UK (2025); E-WERK, Freiburg, GER (2023). Other notable exhibitions include Collectible x Max Radford, Brussels, BEL (2025); Cob Gallery, London, UK (2024); General Expenses, Mexico City, MEX (2023); and South London Gallery, London, UK (2022). Bull was the recipient of Elephant Trust Fund (2024); New Contemporaries (2022); Gilbert Bayes Grant (2022), Thomas Scholarship, UCL (2020); and Associate Studio Programme, ACME (2019).
